The best way to improve the world, this unique place we all share together, is to make it possible for its inhabitants to meet each other, exchange ideas and get to know each other better.

And thus better understand each other’s culture.

According to the report “Proposals for a better mastery of modern foreign languages, dare to say the new world” by Alex Taylor and Chantal Manes-Bonnisseau (in french), submitted in September 2018 to Jean-Michel Blanquer, French Minister of Education, the best way to learn a foreign language is through immersion.

Going abroad for a long period of time for work, studies, to follow someone or for a short cultural or linguistic trip, allows us to live new experiences and to enrich ourselves personally.

Moreover, we are convinced, and we hear it every day from the very mouths of children returning from their travels, that immersion allows the development of autonomy, confidence and curiosity.

More than a host family, the children take advantage of the concept of World is a Village to meet and make friends. Thus, the children create an international network that they develop throughout their lives.

The World is a Village project has been designed with families and children who have the age to travel independently. The aim is to build a project that corresponds to their needs and helps them grow.

Workshops with parents and children have been carried out at several stages of setting up our platform.

The World is a Village service is therefore intended to be a collaborative platform, in the sense that it is structured so that families are the main actors in the choice of the host family for their child’s trip abroad.

We support children with pedagogical tools to help them on their journey and to help them open up to the world with these tools we developed with gaming experts.

We wanted to develop a global pedagogical vision to accompany all the actors of this immersive journey: the parents and the children who welcome, the parents who send their children and the child who travels.

World is a Village assists the whole family in this unique educational experience.

Finally, as proof of our commitment, we deliver to the children of World is a Village certificates that are valuable to schools as an immersive experience.

Growing up as a human being, opening up to the world, getting to know it better: here we have the keys to a world with less fear, less racism and less hostility.

A better world in short đź‘Ź
